Clifford was born in Georgetown, Texas to the parents of Rev. Randolph and Rosetta Reed.  He was christened in the A.M.E. Church. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Port Arthur, Texas. He later joined Bible Way Baptist Church in Atwater, CA.  Clifford held many jobs and was happy doing his work at the Cliff House Hotel in San Francisco as a professional bartender.  He took great pride in his appearance wearing a suit & tie to work and then changed into a uniform.  Clifford was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Clifford is survived by one daughter Felica Reed and three sons: Derrick Reed, Rashad “Jabari” Reed and Kevin Edward Reed. Three stepchildren:  LaShawn Davis, Jerome Davis and Jamaine Davis. Three brothers: Randolph Reed Jr,. Harold Reed, and Alroyce Fields. Three sisters: Carolyn King, Eva Taylor, and Pearlie Green.  Clifford also had 18 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a special brother-in-law Sam Holmes, as well as a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Rosetta Reed; son Eric Reed and one sister, Beverly Green and LaVern Holmes.

Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. A viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Monday, February 27 from 9:00 to 11:00 am, with graveside service at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
