Gary will be deeply missed. He always wrote positive stories about all of the racers. He called Josh his Mariposa LONG TOW because we have to travel so far to race. But it was always exciting reading his articles. We will miss him.
Gary, Thank you for all you did to put west coast short track Sat. night racing on the map. We always looked forward to reading your race reports on monday morning & especially enjoyed all of the kind words you had to say about our racing efforts last season. You will be truely missed,God Bless.

Gary Jacob was a *huge* part of National Dirt Digest as a reliable and frequent contributor from racing reports out West. His presence will be missed by thousands .... what a shock to hear of his death. May he rest in peace.
Back in the late 70s I would keep up with racing at Watsonville & Merced when my uncle,cousin & Dad would race.It was Garys article that kept me informed (through the Racing Wheels paper).When I started racing I met Gary - Man I would see him everywhere - Gary I'll miss the conversations and THANK YOU for Articles over the years.
