Gerry was born in Arkansas to her parents Ira and Dora Huffman in 1921. She later settled in Stanislaus County where she had lived for the last 65 years. She was a member of Trinity Church of The Nazarene in Modesto. One of her favorite hobbies was canning for which she won numerous awards at the Stanislaus County Fair. Gerry was a very loving mother and grandmother and always had a positive impact on people she met.
She is survived by her children Barbara (Johnny) Sutton, Edith Creekmore, Hilton (Neta) Ham, Ralph Ham, Allene Lindford, Philip Ham, and Kathy Batty; sister Willa Mae Marshall; 23 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Wallace Walter Ham.
