Laffin, Marcella (Kaber), 80, of Turlock, passed away at her home at Paramount Court. Marcella (Dolly, Bubba) Laffin lived a full life involved as a Cub Scout leader, PTA officer, YLI officer, choir director, bowling secretary for several leagues and entering many crafts in county fairs.
Born in St. Louis MO, the family moved West to Lake County before settling in Orland, California. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Kaber of Hilmar, her second husband, Laurence Laffin of Turlock and her brother, Ted Overton of Colusa. Marcella is survived by her brothers Bob Overton (Irma), George Overton (Joanne), and Pete Overton of Orland; Pat Overton (Lorraine) of Forest Ranch; Mike Overton (Diane) of Yuba City and sister Theresa Day (Raymond) of Sacramento and sister-in-law Mary Overton of Colusa. Children Dave Kaber (Janice [deceased] and Cyndie) of Susanville, Stan Kaber (Teresa) of Orland, Kathy Gritton (Wayne) of Reno, Ruth Kaber of Hilmar, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; step-children Nancy Hollister (Jim), Dianne Villanueva (Les), Larry Laffin, and John Laffin (Terry) of Turlock, and 5 step-grandchildren. Services for Marcella will be at Allen Mortuary on Friday, March 26th. Visitation from 10:00am to noon followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park. Please leave memories and condolences at www.allenmortuary.com.
