Marie V. Rackley, 88, of Ceres passed away peacefully at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. She was born in Muskogee, OK to the late Bill and Marie Stacey. She came to Turlock as a young child and has lived in Ceres for the last 30 years. She enjoyed crafts, wordbooks, and loved spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her two daughters, Gloria Chenault of Ceres, and Wanda Corsaut of Ceres; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Billie Crisp of Patterson. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Lawton Stewart; and second husband, Art Rackley; two sons, Bobby Stewart and Allen Stewart; 9 sisters; and 1 brother.

Funeral Services will be held at Allen Mortuary on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 1:00pm with interment to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.

I always called my grandmother, "Grandma Violet", even though she went by Marie. She was the one I could always count on and she always came to my defense. I told the other grandkids that Grandma liked me the best. I will miss her very much. I will always
love my "Grandma Violet".
