Mr. Sohan Singh Dhanoya, 82, died March 11, 2010 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock of natural causes. He was born August 1927 in Abhowal Hoshiarpur, India to Kala and Rudy Dhanoya. He moved to Yuba City on January 1, 1985 and made Turlock his home in 1989. He was a member of the Turlock Sikh Temple, and enjoyed reading Sikh books and spending time with children.

His is survived by five children: Jaspal S. Dhanoya of Turlock, Kashmir Kaur Shahi of Turlock, Kashmir Singh Dhanoya of Tracy, Shangara Singh Dhanoya of Oroville, and Surinder Singh Dhanoya of Turlock. He is also survived by one brother and 12 grandchildren.

A Sikh funeral will be held next Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 10am – 1pm at Allen Mortuary. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7pm at Allen Mortuary. Please share your memories at www.allenmortuary.com
