Stewart was a great guy and an even better neighbor. I appreciate all he did for me and for Stanislaus County agriculture. He made many contribution in a variety of ways.

My Dad (Harry Vacca) and Stewart grew up together in Modesto. Harry was born 8/29/1928. My first job was working with Stewart, Betty and the family during the summers of 1971, 72 & 73. Working our there really taught me how to work long and hard. It also gave me extra motivation to go to college. At lunch time the radio was on and we listened to Paul Harvey giving us the news. Whenever I heard Paul Harvey I always thought of Stewart and Betty. My Dad would mention that he had seen your parents when they went to Modesto High Class Reunions and kept me up to date. I have never forgotten my time harvesting peaches.
