Thora was one of the most interesting women I have
ever known. She was also a very kind-hearted soul.
It was a real pleasure knowing her. This world is a
little colder with her leaving but heaven is a better place now that she is there. I'm so sorry
for your loss.

Thanks so much for all your wonderful and kind comments. So many fond memories from all of us related to Thora, and for your comments about all of her wonderful accomplishments. It's sad that we as family have not met many of you, but we know that she knew and loved you as dear friends and would be touched that you remembered her at this time. Please know that she cherished her friendships with each of you.

Very sad news about Thora. We have a photo of hers and remember her often. She was a great lady and a person we admired for her zeal in the Arts.

Those of us who worked with Thora to build a showcase for the arts and artists in Turlock will miss that formidable fisty spirit that made such a showcase possible when she cleaned up the old Carnegie Library and gave it a new much needed purpose. I hope she knows that we are still trying to make her dream a reality. We will miss her too.

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Thora Lindblom. We all owe her much thanks for recognizing something special in Turlock’s former Carnegie library and creating in it a home for the arts. Along with her annual photography exhibitions Mrs. Lindblom working with the Turlock City Arts Commission established the very popular spring juried art show which continues to be a favorite local event, now appearing at City Hall under the auspice of the Commission. I hope that in the near future our city will enjoy the vibrance and nostalgia of the Carnegie Arts Center once again and for many years to come continuing the legacy of art and art appreciation that Thora Lindblom dedicated so much of herself towards establishing here in Turlock.
