Robert Sousa, aka Bob, Bobby, Bobber, 66, passed away at his home in Turlock, California on August 8, 2025, surrounded by his family. Bob was born on April 24, 1959 in Turlock, graduating from Turlock High School. Bob was a top athlete since he was young. He played football, basketball, volleyball, and ran track. In his adult years, he played softball on multiple teams. He met his wife, Karol, at Atwater Community Bible Church and was married at the First Church of God in Atwater March 19, 1983.
Bob loved going on trips to Disney parks with his family, especially Disney World in Florida. He enjoyed watching movies and sports games with his kids & nephews. He attended Calvary Church for over 35 years; where he ran sound and then later played the drums on the worship team as well as coached the church softball coed team.
Bob worked at Turlock Irrigation District for 14 years and was the Facilities Crew Supervisor. His entire career was focused on construction, maintenance and quality craftmanship.
Bob is survived by his wife Karol, his three daughters: Nicole (Eduardo) Trujillo, Kala Humphres, and Amanda Sousa. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Jessie Sousa, his siblings Chris Sousa and Debbie Ruse, and his dog Chuck.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday August 16, 2025, at 10:00am at Calvary Church at 700 E. Monte Vista Ave (corner of Olive & Monte Vista Ave), Turlock, CA, with a luncheon to follow.
