Tenaya Janine Fulk, a remarkable soul who touched the lives of so many, passed away on July 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 14, 1985, in Modesto, California, Tenaya was a beacon of strength, resilience, and compassion throughout her life. Her journey was one marked by love, devotion, and an enduring spirit that inspired all who knew her.
Tenaya was the beloved daughter of Trina Berlanga and John Burgess and the cherished wife of Jarrod Lee Fulk. Their union, which began on April 23, 2016, was the culmination of fifteen beautiful years together, during which they raised their three amazing children: Priscilla, David, and Mason. Though their hearts ache with the loss of their dear Hanna, her memory and spirit continue to illuminate their lives.
Tenaya graduated from Merced High School and furthered her education by successfully completing her bachelor’s degree, with aspirations of pursuing a master’s degree. Her commitment to learning was matched only by her dedication to her profession in the social field, where she spent many years positively impacting the lives of countless individuals.
Known for her vibrant and dynamic personality, Tenaya was a woman whose presence was felt deeply by all who encountered her. With a smile that could light up a room and a spirit that was both fiery and warm, she was a steadfast friend and confidante, always just a phone call away, no matter the time or circumstance. Her love for singing was well-known, and her voice could often be heard filling the spaces around her with joy.
Tenaya’s favorite colors were green and purple, and she held the numbers 23 and 14 close to her heart. As a sibling in the cherished “Fabulous 5,” she was an amazing sister to Rebecca, Daniel, Alex, and Honey, each of whom she shared an unbreakable bond with.
In her final days, Tenaya exemplified courage and tenacity, facing her health challenges with grace and determination. Her family, who stood by her side, will forever remember her strength and the love she gave so freely.
Tenaya Fulk’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her family and friends. She leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories that will continue to inspire and comfort those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, a testament to the beautiful life she led.
A public visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, CA on Thursday, August 13th, 2026 from 5:00pm-7:00pm
The funeral service will also be held at Allen Mortuary on Friday, August 14th, 2026 at 10:00am
A graveside service will immediately follow to Ceres Memorial Park 1801 E. Whitmore Avenue, Ceres, CA

She never hesitated to step up and assist her unit members with anything they needed. She was such a helpful and reliable employee and her presence in our unit will be greatly missed.
