Welcome to Allen Mortuary
Funeral Home & Crematory
Completely remodeled in 2008, Allen Mortuary offers a warm and flexible environment where family and friends can gather to celebrate their loved ones. Adjacent to the mortuary is the Allen Event Center. Now following the funeral ceremony or memorial service, guests do not have to drive across town to attend a reception, but only walk next door. We take care of everything for you — all you need to do is focus on the moments of sharing, and comfort.
Our History
After graduating from the California College of Mortuary Science, the late William E. “Bill” Allen founded Allen Mortuary in 1952 — carrying on a family legacy of doing business in their community.
Bill’s father, the late Rev. William E. Allen, was raised with a Quaker background and was founding pastor of the Denair Nazarene Church. His brother Everett was the owner of the former Turlock Hardware on West Main Street.
Overseeing all aspects of the company, often seven days a week, Bill Allen endeavored to provide a service rich in family tradition of supporting his community. Since then, thousands of families have turned to Allen Mortuary in their time of need.
Today Bill’s grandson, Michael Allen, and his wife, Alison (Kleiber) Allen, together with a compassionate team, continue his traditions by serving families with dignity and respect while upholding the company’s core values of excellence, integrity and affordability. Allen Mortuary is committed to supporting families in their time of need with the care and empathy one can only receive from a family run business with generations of experience.
PERSONAL WELCOME
Dear Friends,
At Allen Mortuary we understand the needs of families because we, too, are a family. Caring for families is our business- it’s our way of life- it’s who we are.
The Allen family has been providing family-centered care for over 67 years. Founded by the late William E. “Bill” Allen in 1952, our mission is to expertly and professionally serve you and your family with compassion, dignity and respect while upholding our core values of excellence, integrity and affordability.
Allen Mortuary is proud to be the only family-owned funeral home in the Turlock area. This means we work for you, not a board of directors or a group of stockholders.
For us, family-owned and operated also means providing a wide variety of services at affordable prices, without sacrificing the quality of care you receive. We take this obligation to our community very seriously and strive to fulfill that obligation every single day.
As members of this community our concern is genuine and our support sincere. We have a personal interest in the families we serve as they are our neighbors and our friends. We take very seriously the trust placed in us by thousands of families in our community over the past six decades.
We invite you to find comfort and support from our staff, and we welcome the opportunity to serve you and your family.
“Generations of professional, compassionate and affordable care.”
Michael M. Allen
President, Allen Mortuary
