Annabelle Pinhiero

Annabelle was born in Marysville, CA to Manuel and Filomena Vargas in 1927. She passed away at the age 86 in Turlock, CA. Annabelle loved being outside, gardening and feeding the birds. She was a hard worker; she and her husband James worked on the ranch together. She was a great host and whenever friends or family would visit, food would be ready and everyone was fed. On the weekends, she enjoyed listening to music on her record player; her favorites included Dean Martin, Patsy Cline and other country western artists. Annabelle worked for over 40 years for the Merced County Action Agency where she enjoyed helping people in need. She also spent her time volunteering for various organizations such as Brown Bag and Women’s Auxiliary.

Annabelle is survived by her children Jeanette (Johnnie) Bray of Stevinson, Louise (Richie) King of Merced, Mary Pinhiero of Sequim, WA, Jimmy (Samantha) Pinhiero of Montague, CA and Joe Pinhiero of Stevinson; brother Tony (Donalda) Vargas of Sacramento; eight grandchildren: Monique, John, Jennifer, Joe, Kimberly, Ethan, Stephanie and Mikala; and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband James “Jim” Pinhiero, her parents, two sisters and five brothers.

Rosary and Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stevinson on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Sunnyside Cemetery also in Stevinson.
