Arthur Edwin Ingwerson, Jr.

Arthur Edwin Ingwerson, Jr. was born in Modesto CA on September 30, 1947 and peacefully passed away in his home surrounded by loved ones in Ceres, CA on June 12, 2013. He attended high school in Fremont and classes at Modesto Junior College.

Art married the love of his life, Margaret Tomlins on June 5, 1976 and they recently celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary.

Art was the master of his trade in cabinetry and woodwork. He attended Three Rivers Christian Fellowship and was a member of the Odd Fellow 100F Lafayette Lodge #65 in La Grange, CA. He loved music, the San Francisco Giants and 49ers and was a train enthusiast. He loved life and making people laugh. He had an infectious personality and touched the lives of so many. Art had a wonderful voice and could create lyrics of his own on the spot and sang many tunes. He was a talented artist that could sculpt and sketch. He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Artie was the life of the party and his smile and laughter could light up a room.

Art was preceded in death by his parents: Elsie Brunette Ingwerson and Arthur Edwin Ingwerson, Sr. and his brothers and sisters: Larry Ingwerson, Gus Ingwerson, Margie Streeter, Danny Ingwerson, Joanne Metcalf, Yvonne Fulton, and Deanna Danielli.

Art is survived by his wife, Margaret Ingwerson; four children: Adam (and Hollie), Annie (and Kyle), Alex and Alicia; and grandchildren: Anakin, Khloe, August and one on the way.
Art was loved by his family and was referred to as Uncle Artie. He was survived by 29 nieces and nephews and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews. He was survived by many cousins and in-laws.

All who knew Art loved him and will greatly miss his sense of humor and loving heart.

The family requests any donations to be made to Community Hospice. Celebration of life will be held Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 10:30am at Three Rivers Christian Fellowship, at 500 9th Street Suite B in Modesto, CA.
