Beckey L. Tynan

September 1975 ~ September 2011

Our adorable Beckey was born September 16,1975 in Anaheim, California. She passed away on September 7, 2011 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, California.

Beckey graduated from Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills, graduated from Cal State Stanislaus in Turlock, and later earned her Masters in Elementary Education.

Beckey lived life on her own terms – even changing her name from Rebecca Christine Tynan to Beckey Lara Tynan. She loved Turlock – we understand why, as we were the recipients of numerous acts of kindness while there. She lived on her own, worked as a substitute teacher, bowled in several leagues, loved the Angels baseball team, was an avid reader, was active in her sorority Phi Sigma Sigma, and loved animals. In the last 2 weeks, she had taken in a stray cat and was soon caring for 6 baby kittens.

Beckey has always dealt with numerous medical problems. She did this with great courage and grace. Although she had excellent control of her diabetes, it complicated the many factors that led to her death.

WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS. Beckey will forever be missed by her family and all who knew her. PARENTS – Tim & Claudia Tynan, BROTHER & FAMILY – Tim, Rebecca, Skylar, Timothy, Benjamin, SISTER – Amanda Tynan, GRANDPARENTS – Carl & Irene Meisterlin, Milli Brandstetter, Lila Moyer.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation: 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
