Bernard “Bob” Odin Boyer

Bob was born in Brantford, North Dakota in 1921 to Thomas and Helene Boyer and passed away at the age of 92 in Turlock. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the Air Force. Bob and Hazel were married 67 years ago and settled in Turlock shortly after their marriage. Together they owned and operated Boyer Home and Auto in Turlock for 18 years. He also worked doing cabinetry, and finished carpentry; these skills allowed he and Hazel to build a home by themselves near Tuolumne City. Bob had a love for music, he played various instruments including the guitar and would sing live radio, on Devil’s Lake, ND and Turlock’s KTUR.

He is survived by his wife Hazel Boyer; children Pamela (Dick) Haile and Robin (Debi) Boyer all of Turlock and Patrick (Melinda) Boyer of Twain Harte, CA.; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers and two sisters.

Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 1-5p.m. Funeral will also be held at Allen Mortuary on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Please share your memories at
