Bobby Turnbough, 76, of Denair, passed away at home after a long illness. Bobby was born in Etawah, Arkansas, the oldest of 9 children born to Marvin “Bud” and Morve (Hunt) Turnbough. He attended school in Paragould, Arkansas. He quit school early in order to work on the family dairy farm. Bobby married his childhood sweetheart, Mary Freeman, in Florida in 1958. They moved from the farm in Arkansas to California in 1964. Bobby learned auto mechanics and was an auto mechanic for many years. He repaired cars for 20 years for individuals and for used car lots. Bobby was an avid 49’er and Giants fan.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Raymond, and son James Turnbough. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Turnbough; 4 children: Teresa Walton of Turlock, Leslie (Lorey) Turnbough of Waterford, Jacky (Donna) Turnbough of Sacramento, and Pamala (Marcus) Oberkamper of Oakdale; siblings: Shirley Cothern of Arkansas, Lorene Hall of Arkansas, Earl Turnbough of Oakdale, Tony Turnbough of Oakdale, Dale Turnbough of Riverbank, Sandra Long of Riverbank, and Patricia Randolph of Oregon; 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
