Sending out my deepest condolences and prayers to the Fernandez family at this time. Debbie will be surely missed. I have known Debbie for 50 years since Carlmont High School days.We had remained friends all these years. She use to babysit my kids when they were little when she use to do daycare for kids. Then she stopped do daycare her sister Tracy would watch them. She had just this amazing zest for life as I did. I guess that is why we use to get into trouble when we were young. LOL. She had a passion for Tap & Zazz Dance and I had a passion for Tahitian and Hula Dancing and I am a Polynesian Drummer. And I had a passion for horses. We each followed our dreams for years but always kept in touch. Debbie always had a connection with my son Jonathan who was born with medical problems. He passed away at 5 1/2 years old and when we would talk she would always say girl we should never have to bury our children before oursedlf, but not to worry girl he ha gone home to be with the lord and he is safe now.I wish we could go back to those young days as kids in high school with not a care in the world. Till we meet again girl. RIP. I love you.

My beautiful eldest cousin always full of smiles and love. You certainly have left a permanent smile on my heart and so many others. You left too soon, but wow what a beautiful impression you have left. I love you dearly and look forward to joining you someday with our family weve already lost. We will laugh and dance together again. Hugs for Mark and all our family. I wish I could be there. Rest in paradise my wonderful cousin.

I met Debbie 25 years ago when our Husbands were partners in crime @ NMHA. Debbie was such a huge beacon of LIGHT and made so many people feel welcomed when ever you were around her. I will miss her dearly.

She was a great caregiver to those she served @ Good Samaritan Village. She was always there to lend a good laugh, smile, and food to the elderly folks there.

I never took her up on dancing @ Crocodiles and I wish I had. I did take her up on Relay for Life though. What a go get’er Debbie was and I’m sure in heaven, she’s dancing with her angels.

I know she is watching over her family, and especially Mark. Her spirit was always strong, and that is why I know she will always be present in the after life.

Our thoughts and Prayers are with her family.

I’ve known Debbie since the early to mid 1980’s when our daughters were in dance class together.

And, our parents happened to live next to each other – the houses separated by an empty lot. That was in Belmot- early 1980’s. I remember Debbie’s Mom’s roof caught on fire late one 4th of July! Thank heavens that was repairable damage and Boone was injured. It was sure exciting.

Debbie and I danced with other Mom’s too. We stayed in touch over the years, sometimes sporadically as we both relocated to different areas.

Debbie was one of those friends you could talk to after a year or more of not hearing from each other and just pick your friendship up where it left off like there was never a pause.

I miss Debbie’s laughter, her caring, kind, compassionate heart, her love of dance, her friends and especially her family.

I love how passionate Debbie always was about Relay for Life. I’m happy she got to finally say she was free of Cancer and yet, desperately sad that the cancer weakened her body so much, she couldn’t recover. I am thrilled that she is now healed and forever free of the restraints of her long illness.

Love you Korie & Kellie. Take good care of Mark. He needs you more than ever. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

I know Debbie is looking down on you, watching and nudging you along. She will always be with you.

I’ve known Debbie for many years. She was such a kind, caring soul. Oh she loved her family and once you knew her, you too were family. Every high school reunion she said “I’m a transplant” as she graduated from Fullerton I think. We laughed Everytime. I will miss you my dear friend. There is no other smile like yours. Rest In Peace Deb and keep dancing with our Lord now. I pray for comfort for the family at this time. May God bless you all.

Debra was a wonderful caring loving person… my brother and I have known her & Mark for years. We lost track of each other for a while and found each other on FaceBook a few years back… my brother & I met up with them in Tracy CA at Black Bear… tears of joy in my eyes as I saw them…. Debbie had a certain rasp in her voice that I always loved hearing… and was an identifier to me of Debbie… my brother and I had many good times with Mark & Debbie which have turned into long lasting memories… especially their wedding when my brother was their best man…. a beautiful wedding a beautiful couple…. my last visit with her 2 years ago I will always remember… she shared with me her life experiences teaching dancing… showed me her home and one could see how proud she was… of her home and family… the pictures of her grandchildren etc…. I will always remember this beautiful lady and will hold her very dear in my heart….❤️
