Derek Neal Ransdell was born March of 1966 to Ronald and Shirley (Washburn) Ransdell. He was raised in Visalia, CA where he graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in 1984, where at the time his biggest pride and joy was football. Later, Derek worked in jewelry sales from the age of 18, then moved into the mortgage lending industry. He later became a sales representative and finally became a solar salesman. No matter where he worked, Derek created unbreakable bonds with his co-workers.
He settled in Modesto and married Bobbie Hernandez of Turlock in 1994. This year (2021) Derek and Bobbie celebrated their 27years of marriage. Derek enjoyed reading the Bible, ministering the word, doing outreaches for the homeless, golfing, and spending time with his family.
He leaves behind his wife Bobbie Ransdell, daughter Hannah Ransdell, brother David Arnold and aunt Suzette Washburn Owens.
Visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 10am with the funeral to follow at 11am. Interment will be held at Turlock Memorial Park following the funeral.
