Florene Duarte, 95, of Livingston, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House. Florene was born in Pontotoc, TX to Lewis and Emily Moore, one of six children. She attended school in Texas before moving to Gilroy CA in 1935. She married and started a family. She enjoyed being a homemaker, baking, knitting, and raising her children. She moved back to Texas for a time. She was widowed at a young age and did custodial work at Brandel Manor for 18 years. She was active in her church for over 10 years. In the last few years she has lived with her niece and nephew, Karen and Francisco Valenzuela, and during this time has developed a special bond with great nieces Molly, Sarah, and Hannah. She will be greatly missed.

Florene was preceded in death by her parents, 2 children: James Price and Kenneth Foshee, and 5 siblings: Rufus Moore, Robert Moore, Bode Moore, Doris Moore, and Merdie Ford. She is survived by 4 grandchildren: Elaine Perez, Debra Price, Miranda Foshee, and Jared Foshee, niece Karen (Francisco) Valenzuela, and great-nieces Molly, Sarah, and Hannah Valenzuela, of Livingston.

A Graveside Service will be held at Kingsland Cemetery in Kingsland, Texas.
