    To Gerald’s family,
I stumbled upon your family’s name a few years back as I was researching my own family. Your dad was a descendant of John Jenkins & Martha (Davis), via their son Daniel Jenkins & Joanna B (Austin) and via their daughter Nettie Jane (Jenkins) Cross & Elwin Aaron Cross via their daughter Nora Edith (Cross) Smith and her husband Julius Monroe Smith who were your dad’s maternal grandparents.

While most of them died before I was even born, I believe that most of them were loving, Christian people. A letter from Elinor Palmer — last remaining sibling of Daniel Jenkins was that of a woman with deep faith. So I’m sure your dad is not only with your mother and brother but also with many generations of ancestors now in heaven.

I will keep your family in my prayers.

(Note my blood connection is that Nettie Jane (Jenkins) Cross’s oldest sister was Emma Deete (Jenkins) Click was my gg grandmother.)
