Isabel R. Vervoort

Isabel was born in California in 1922 to Salvador and Antonia Rodriguez after her parents immigrated from Spain. She grew up in Rocklin and later Monterey where she graduated high school. After WWII she worked in Japan as an accountant paying military personnel, before transferring to Germany where she met and later married her husband Bob. Isabel lived in many different places, due to Bob’s changing military assignments, including Maine, Nebraska, France, Germany and Maryland. In 1966, they moved to Turlock and finally settled in Livingston in 1977 where she remained in their home even after Bob passed in 1996. She enjoyed gardening, reading and most importantly spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. Isabel also enjoyed her time spent with friends in the Senior Clubs she attended.

She is survived by her sons Frank (Diane) Vervoort and Mark (Heather) Vervoort; granddaughter Jacklyn Manno and great granddaughter Emily Manno. Isabel is preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Vervoort; siblings Manuel, Constance, Tony and Frank.

Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to American Cancer Society. Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 1:00-5:00p.m. Funeral will be at San Carlos Cemetery in Monterey on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 2:00p.m.
