Jack Norton

Jack was born in Ottowa, Kansas to Jerry and Eva Norton in 1925. He passed away at the age of 87 in Turlock, California. He served in the United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Turlock V.F.W. Post 5059 and American Legion. Jack was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking. He would often make airplanes out of aluminum cans and give them to friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Murl Norton of Turlock; children Marvin (Linda) Norton of Beech Grove, AR, Jeanette Norton of Pargould, AR, Becky (Arno) Dietzler of Rio Linda, CA and Kathleen (Walt) Hidalgo; sister Darlene Lasswell; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; first wife of 57 years Virginia Lee Norton; and nine siblings.

Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Turlock VFW or American Legion. Memorial service will be held at Allen Mortuary on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 3:00p.m.
