Janice McBride, 82, of Denair, passed away at Paramount Court after a long illness. Janice was born in Dallas, Texas to Jessie and Ona Mae Gault, one of 7 children. The family moved to California when Janice was a young teen. They lived first in Empire, then Hughson, where Janice graduated from Hughson High School. She also attended Pasadena Nazarene College for one year. In the fall of 1954 she started dating a high school friend, Richard McBride, and they were married in May of 1955 in the Hughson Nazarene Church. They lived in Ceres for 6 years before settling in Turlock. Richard was a lineman for TID and Janice was a home maker. She collected antique dolls and maintained a warm and friendly home. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Janice was preceded in death by her son David Michael McBride in 1980 and a grandson Michael McBride in June of 2015.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard McBride, one son Richard Bruce McBride of Oregon, 2 grandchildren: Ami McBride of Denair and Patrick McBride, one great grandchild Claire McBride, and a brother Jessie Carroll Gault of Portland, OR.
There will be a Visitation at Allen Mortuary on Saturday, August 22nd from 3 to 6 pm.
Private Interment will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
