Beloved Mother and Grandmother

Juanita Gonzales, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Turlock on Friday, May 31, 2013. She was born in Santa Rosa, New Mexico in 1932 and moved to Turlock, California at a young age. She attended Turlock schools, was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and worked at Olive Animal Clinic for 15 years.

She was an icon in her family and garnered much respect from her peers due to her many accomplishments, devout Catholic beliefs, respect, benevolence, love, and devotion to family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Gonzales, and survived by her 10 children: Lorenzo (Pam) Gonzales of Modesto, Lee (Pam) Gonzales and Matthew Gonzales of Hughson, Catherine Gonzales of Manteca, Christine “Christy” Gonzales of Turlock, Teri Gonzales and Victor (Rhonda) Gonzales of Turlock, Michael (Michelle) Gonzales of Stockton, Greg (Jackie) Gonzales of Denair, and Alicia Castelli of Petaluma. Juanita is also survived by 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her siblings: Nicacio and Ricardo Lucero of Turlock and Carmen Clemens of El Dorado Hills.

Memorial donations may be made in her honor to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

Rosary and Mass combination will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 1PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial services to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
