In the early hours of Saturday January 30th, 2021, Karin Elizabeth Nyman was called to Heaven peacefully in her sleep. Karin was born on a sunny day in June of 1975 to Loren and Linda Nyman. From that day forward, she brought nothing but joy, happiness and sunshine into her family and friends lives and anyone she met.

Karin grew up in the country just outside of Turlock, CA. She quickly became a lover of animals, especially Jersey dairy cows. Her father Loren Nyman, being a local FFA teacher, helped Karin and her sister Christine to become very accomplished in dairy cattle showmanship. Karin’s mother Linda was always supportive and was willing to put up with all the animals and even cows in the backyard.  Karin was very studious, always a quiet, determined achiever. She attended Turlock High, graduated from Hughson High and then was off to San Francisco State University for her undergraduate studies.

Karin decided to take a break from her studies in San Francisco and moved to Kirkwood, CA with a two-wheel drive car and no idea about the “Mountain Life”.   With the heart of a lion and unrelenting determination, Karin decided to live life to its fullest! She traveled, snowboarded unnamed peaks, chased her dreams, worked hard, met and fell in love with her husband of 17 years, Zole Andahazy, and finally started the family she always wanted.

Karin devoted the rest of her life to being an amazing mother to Silas and her second son Jonas. Karin faced and overcame many challenges including horrible car accidents and many health struggles. She lived in Reno, Carmel Valley and eventually settled with her family in Turlock.

Karin was known for being an amazing friend and having epic pool parties where there was always great food, cold drink and sometimes swimming with chickens”¦”¦

Karin will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

Karin is survived by her husband Zole Andahazy and their sons Silas and Jonas; mother Linda Nyman, sister Christine Maffei (Craig), niece & nephew Olivia and Nick, and her loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Karin is preceded in death by her father Loren Nyman, grandparents Martin & Olivia Nyman and Rudy & Opal Manske and aunt and uncles Marjorie & Richard Nystrom, Delton Nyman and Lavonne & Fred Wingett.

Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 4:00-6:00p.m.  Celebration of life service will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Hope Church, 316 S. Laurel St. in Turlock with interment to follow at Hilmar Cemetery District.  The celebration of life will be livestreamed for those interested.

  5. Linda Marcelo says

Karin was an awesome wife and mother, she also was a great sister in law. Karin and I didn’t have to be around each other. She was the kind of person you can talk to and not see each other for a while and pick right where you off at.
She is my brother’s heart and sole. Jonas and Silas, that bright star in the sky every night is your mom watching over you with love.

    Karin rest peacefully

Zole and Karin where the only two people that made me feel comfortable around all the parents at grace, I’m not a social person. She was very easy to get along with. She is a light and will always shine. Zole, Silas, and Jonas, I love you guys. She is still looking after you. She will always be there.
