Letha was born in Carnegie, OK to Albert and LaRue Clark. The family moved to Modesto in 1947.
Letha worked at Modesto City Schools District Office and was a secretary at William Garrison Elementary School and the Principal’s secretary at La Loma Jr. High School. Letha retired from Modesto City Schools in 1993 after 32 ½ years of service.
Letha became a Christian in 1961, which was early in her marriage. She also went on to become a member of and attended Calvary Temple Worship Center/The House Modesto. Her children and her grandchildren are also Christians. She was very thankful for her Christian heritage which derived from the Clark side of her family.
Letha enjoyed quilting, reading and fondly remembered her years as a secretary, but most of all she enjoyed cooking.
Letha is predeceased by her husband Joe Duncan, Albert and LaRue Clark, and Albert (Jake) Clark. She is survived by Kimberlee Tacy, Lezlie Duncan, Tyler Duncan, Shaylene Neuman and her brother Roger Clark of Sonora.

She was the first person to introduce herself to me at a Wednesday night Bible Study class and since we both arrived early, before anyone else, we had time to talk and get to know each other a little bit. She always let me know that I was welcomed into her family and that I was like a daughter to her. She even showed love and concern for my two sons all these many years. I know that she is finally HOME now with her Savior Jesus Christ and for that I am eternally grateful. She knew that Jesus Christ is our ONLY HOPE for forgiveness, salvation and eternal life. Without Him we have no hope. I know that Letha would want her home-going to be a catalyst for others to learn of the Lord’s great love for us -a love so great that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. When we acknowledge and accept Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection on our behalf for the forgiveness of our sins, we are forgiven and washed clean and granted eternal life – just like Letha received. In memory and honor of Letha Duncan it is my prayer that if any of you who may be reading this, do not yet know Jesus Christ as your own personal Lord and Savior, that you will give some serious thought to your life and where you will spend eternity. This would bring Letha much joy. She loved you all.
