Lisa Kaye Mello passed away at her residence on Sept. 4, 2015. Born in Chandler, OK to Denva and Jake Wyse in 1957, they moved to Modesto when Lisa was a young child. She graduated from Modesto High School in 1975. After high school Lisa worked as a bartender at the Old Place in Turlock, and there she met her soon-to-be husband, Dan, in 1980. They married in 1985 and made Turlock their home.
Lisa loved to make homemade Halloween costumes for her three sons, was a PTA room mother at Brown School, and enjoyed camping with her family.
Lisa belonged to the Stephen King Book Club and Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and baking. She entered the canning and cooking contests at the Stanislaus County Fair and won 1st Place for her Lemon Meringue Pie.
Lisa is survived by her husband Dan; sons Jason French of Ceres, Matthew (Kerrin) Mello of Modesto, and Nicholas Mello of Denair; brothers Michael Wyse and Timothy Wyse, both of OK; grandchildren Auston and Ashton French, and Alison and Thomas Mello. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Clayton.
Rosary on Weds., Sept. 16 at 4:00pm at Allen Mortuary with a Celebration of Life to follow at Allen Event Center. Private Burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park.
