Memorial Gathering Friday Dec. 15, 2017 from 1-3 pm at Homewood Village Clubhouse, Modesto.

Loretta passed away on November 4th at Alexander Cohen Hospice House after a short illness. Loretta was born in Kansas City, Missouri as an only child to William & Lucille Donner.  Her father’s profession took them all over the US and she lived many places while growing up.

A strong willed, self sufficient woman, Loretta worked full time in the 1950s and through the 1970s. She held positions at Pacific Bell and AAA in San Francisco during this time.  After her retirement she leaned towards country and farm life which included raising animals of all kinds.  At one time she had many ostriches that kept her busy.  All through her life she traveled which brought her to many parts of the world.  She was a member of the Pioneer Women of the West and volunteered at Community Hospice.

Loretta is survived by her three sons Chris (Sue), Brad (Kelly) and Stuart Hackett and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter in law, Shelby Hackett and her companion, Earl Van Dyke.

A Memorial gathering will be held on Friday, December 15th, 2017 at Homewood Village Clubhouse, 2000 Mable Avenue, Modesto from 1-3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Loretta’s name to Alexander Cohen Hospice House, 2201 Euclid Ave, Hughson, CA  95326.  Please share your memories on this website.
