Manuel Marques Dias, age 76 of Turlock, passed away Monday, August 12, 2019 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House. Manuel was born in Alcongosta, Portugal and served in the Portuguese Air Force where he was a military medic stationed in Mozambique, Africa before settling in Turlock in 1973. Manuel enjoyed photography, cooking, Portuguese soccer, and bull fights. Manuel also enjoyed farming his land in Portugal, where he spent six months out of the year growing and harvesting cherries.
Manuel is survived by his loving wife Benvinda Dias “Benny”, son Tony (Kim) Dias, daughter Marta Dias, and son Mike (Mandi) Dias; four grandchildren, and one sister Maria Julieta Duarte Nunes Martins of Amadora, Portugal.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 19, 2019 from 4pm – 7pm at Allen Mortuary. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, 10am also at Allen Mortuary with a graveside to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
