Marjorie Zoe Nicodemus

August 1922 – July 2013

Zoe Nicodemus, 90, of Modesto, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House after a short illness. Zoe was born in Wellpinit, WA to Percy and Edith Nicodemus. Her family moved around with her father’s work as a government worker with Indian Reservations. She graduated from High School in Winnebago, Nebraska and attended one year at Nebraska State Teachers’ College. She joined the Army in 1943 and served in New Guinea. After her honorable discharge in 1945 she reenlisted in the Army from 1946-48. Later she enlisted in the Air Force and became a Staff Sergeant before her Honorable Discharge in 1951. She worked 30 years for the Federal Government.

Zoe loved to play golf and bridge. She was a great fan of all kinds of sports. She also loved her dogs. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Private Burial will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations for the Alexander Cohen Hospice House at Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356. Please leave memories and condolences at www.allenmortuary.com.
