Mildred Ax

February 1927 – September 2011

Mildred Ax, 84, of Turlock, passed away at Memorial Medical Center after an extended illness. Mildred was born in Bell, CA to Ardys and Eunice Wilson. After graduating from High School in Bell she married the love of her life, William Ax, in La Crescenta, CA. Bill was a WWII veteran who served with the Marine Corps. He worked in construction doing lathe and plaster work. Mildred worked for 25 years as an assembler in the manufacturing of electronics. She was very family oriented and loved to crochet and read romance novels. She also enjoyed playing cards and backgammon for her own entertainment.

Mildred’s husband Bill preceded her in death in 1991 after 45 years of marriage. She is also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her four children: Judith (David) Skinner of Palmdale, CA, Mark William (Jeanne) Ax of West Hills, CA, Christine (David) Hunt of Coolidge, TX, and Patti Carpenter of Turlock; 14 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Plans are being made for a Memorial Service to be held on Tuesday, September 20th, to honor Mildred.
