Randall Lee Jensen November 15, 1967 - April 2, 2018

1967 – 2018

Randy was born in Turlock, CA on November 15, 1967 to parents Gerry and Jeannie Jensen. He attended Julien Elementary, Turlock Junior High and graduated from Turlock High School in 1986. He attended MJC, earning several computer degrees, and a bachelor’s degree a few years later. He lived in Turlock his whole life.

Randy died as a result of a tragic accident and went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 2nd. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Tammi; three sons: Zach (wife Kara), Liam, and Shane, as well as the newest addition to the family and his pride and joy, grandson Aven. He is also survived by his sister Kelli (Darren) Baldwin, four nephews: Hayden, Hunter, Holden, Hudson; and niece Hailee. He has many cousins who will miss him. He is also survived by his cherished dog Rico. Randy is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Norman and Georganna Jensen, and his maternal grandparents Harold and Maxine Wadlington. He also had many, many friends who will miss him, especially the Chris Irish Family.

Randy was a man of many talents, including anything related to computers. He was an excellent photographer, specializing in weddings and family portraits. He played multiple musical instruments, sang in a fun acapella group as a teenager as well as bands that played around the Central Valley. When he had a new hobby or special interest he was happy to tell you any and every detail of it and more than likely would encourage you to share in his enthusiasm. You never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. He was truly a one of a kind man. He had many interests and hobbies, including his love of reading, cheering on his favorite sports teams, bicycling with family and friends, and he especially loved hanging out with his sons. Randy was passionate about life. He had an easygoing personality, great sense of humor, positive outlook, and a generous nature. He had a great work ethic and loved working for Alliant Insurance as an e-learning and instructional designer, and truly enjoyed all of his colleagues. We all miss and love him so much! His legacy will live on in his three sons and grandson.

Services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11 am at The Connecting Point Church, 3200 E. Monte Vista Ave., Denair, CA.

Tammi would like everyone to come in casual dress. Wear your shorts, T’s, and flip flops. We all know that is how Randy dressed 365 days a year! He didn’t like to be fussy.

Memorial donations can be made to the Go Fund Me Page at www.gofundme.com/tammijensen or the charity of your choice.

Like your family I am still in shock. You were the same age as my brother. I remember going to church with you and your family. But unfortunately like a lot of us, we all lost touch through the years. I often wondered about you and Kelli and your mom and dad. Then Facebook happened and I was able to connect with your mom and sister. It has been a blessing knowing you Randy. I pray that you rest in peace. I pray for your beautiful family to have the peace that only our Father in Heaven can give them. Know that you will be missed very much, but know most of all your family and friends will never forget you and the love that they have for you. May you live on in their hearts forever!

Randy was a very good person. I remember the first day zach and kara first introduced me to Mr and Mrs. Jensen. That was a day I’ll never forget. I believe he was doing a project or a documentary for something. He was telling me all about it. I learned a lot of things from him that day and every other days that i go to see my bro and sis ( Zach and kara). I always looked forward to learning something new. Randy was an awsome friend and a father. I’m sorry for the jensen family loss. He really was a good person. To be honest i don’t really know what to say, im at a loss of words. I do know that he will be miss very much. Rest in peace Randy.

Randy was an extraordinary husband, father, and friend. He could cheer anyone up and had a way of making even strangers feel completely comfortable. He had charm, wit, and intelligence and made friends everywhere he went, touching so many lives. I hope that he knows how much he changed my life, and encouraged me to live my life to the fullest as he always did. Truly one of kind, he treated me like a daughter. I love you Randy may you rest in absolute peace.

Hello — I am very sorry to hear about Randy. I didn’t know him, but I also work for Alliant Insurance, and got a Google Alert because Alliant was mentioned. Like Randy, I was born in 1967 and so Randy’s death really struck me. My condolences to all of Randy’s family and loved ones.

    Tammi and family,

My heart goes out to you for your humongous loss. I wish I’d have had the pleasure of meeting Randy. He sounds an amazing man. I’ve followed Tammi’s Facebook posts and photos of their life together and communications with her grandmother, Pat. What I remember most is Randy’s winning smile. He was always smiling and it appeared to me that he loved life and greeted it with love and passion. It was evident his wife, boys and Aven were his pride and joy. They were a model All American Dream family!

May God hold you close to support you through this journey of grief.

  11. aunt Joanie says

Randy, you will be so missed not just by Tammi and the boys but also by this old aunt of yours. I just loved having you and Kelli playing with Jami and Marni when you were growing up, it felt almost like I had 4 kids instead of 2. There are so many memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
