Retha Marie Yoder, 87, of Modesto, CA passed away peacefully on May 5, 2018 surrounded by her family at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Cordell, Oklahoma to Leslie and Bessie Wooten.
Retha had two brothers Coy (Pat) Wooten of McMinnville, OR and Raymond (Norma) Wooten of Denair, CA. Raymond preceded her in death in 1999, also after a long brave fight against Alzheimer’s. Retha is survived by the love of her life, Wayne Redmon. After dating as young teens in the 1940s Retha and Wayne reunited seven years ago and became inseparable; a picture of true love and devotion.
Retha is also survived by her children Dianna (Ron) Bailey of Oklahoma City, OK and William (Maria) Newman of Turlock. She is preceded in death by her two children Michael Daily of Sun Valley, NV and Gary Daily of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by five grandchildren Eugene Daily of Reno, NV, Windy Denny of Lewisville, TX, Ammie Timms of Oklahoma City, OK, Clint Daily of Moore, OK, and Andrew Newman of Hemet, CA; twelve great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Retha’s natural love of people and her desire to always help others was her passion along with her lifelong devotion to the Lord. She loved spending time with her family and she loved going to church. For the last 30 years, she attended Modesto Covenant Church, where she was cherished by so many. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 10:00a.m.-7:00p.m. at Allen Mortuary. A luncheon will be held at Modesto Covenant Church on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11:00a.m. with a funeral to follow also at the church at 12:30p.m. with interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

May 9, 2018 at 5:09 pmThis is a sad day for you and your family and for us. Your Mother and my Mother(Sandy Fusco) they were the best of friends, for all so many years. Not one day would not go bye, for the two of them not to call each other. They took care of one and another for so many, many years, they truly loved each other.
