Sadie Butler, 98, of Turlock, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center. Sadie was born in Clay Center, Kansas to George and Ida Taylor. After attending schools in Kansas she was married to Orville Lee, who died at just 42 years old in 1953. Sadie was a very bright lady who studied and became a program analyst for 22 years at McClellan AFB and retired in 1972. She was a member of the Visiting Nurse’s Association in Modesto for 8 years, volunteered at Emanuel Hospital and Thrift Shop in Turlock, was active in the Salvation Army Women’s League, and a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Turlock. Sadie loved the Lord and wanted to invite everyone she met to meet her in heaven someday.

Sadie outlived her two husbands Orville Lee and Boyd Butler, her son Jerry, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Ruthann Sisk of Denair, son Gary (Charlene) Lee of No. Highlands, CA, step-son Glenn (Hui Yop) Butler, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 4 great, great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary in Turlock on Thursday, April 2nd from 4 to 6 pm. Funeral Service will be at Allen Mortuary on Friday, April 3rd at 10 am. A Graveside Committal Service is pending at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Sacramento at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial gifts for Community Continuum College of Turlock.
