Sandra Kay Richesin May 24, 1957 - February 13, 2022

May 1957 ~ February 2022

Sandra Kay Richesin passed away February 13, 2022 in Sonora, California at the age of 64.

Sandy was born to Jim & Minnie Morris. She and her brother Jimmy Morris and sister Judy Bacon (Morris) grew up in Turlock where Sandy graduated from Turlock High.

Sandy worked at Pitco wholesale foods for 21 years where she became one of their top sales representatives. It takes a special kind of woman to survive and succeed in a male-dominated business and she did it with class and elegance.

She was very active in her beloved community of Don Pedro, where her and her husband Mark Richesin built their dream ranch. She served as Director of the Board for the Northern Mariposa County History Center for 3 years. During that time she took on managing and working the pancake breakfast, took the lead for designing, purchasing and delivering the Bill Lane Memorial Bench, and was instrumental in the History Center’s largest event, The Coyote Fest.

Sandy loved to host her Bunco Babes theme parties, she loved to create with her crafts and beautiful paintings. She loved her animals, she loved music and she loved to dance. She loved history, but most of all she loved her family.

Sandy was a tough but loving mother to her sons and their families, Craig and Mattie with their children Kylie and Aiden, Jeremy and Amber with their children Sophia, Paislee Rae and Weston, Benny and Brittany with their children Johnny, Jase and Jenna, and Mark and Heather with their children Andrew, Annabell and Jasper.  She was so proud of the husbands and fathers they have become and absolutely loved being a grandma.

The family invites you to join in celebrating Sandy’s life February 26, 2022 at 10am at Allen Mortuary with graveside internment at Turlock Memorial. A reception will follow at KC Ranch, 4115 Washington Rd., Hughson CA.

  3. Judy Morris Bacon says

Growing up with Sandy was very interesting, She was a girly girl & loved tea party’s & dolls. But she had a little sister whom love to climb trees, jump in puddles & play in the mud. While her patient’s ran thin curling my hair & trying to make me pretty & smacking me in the head with the brush, because I never sat still. But Sandy love to make things pretty. She would tell me all of her accomplishments, her greatest accomplishments are her boys. How she bragged & while I was miles away, she could make me picture them & how proud she was. Sandy believed that life was a adventure, she love history, gardening, everything beautiful God had created, she had a way of seeing beauty in everything. Sandy my sister, I will see you one day & we will have a celebration.
    I love you
Now I carry you in my heart.
    You sister.

My heart is so broken . Sister Sandy was a child hood friend, a sister my Rock growing up. She taught me how to pluck my eye brows, showed me how to put my make up on. She was there for me when I had my 2 girls at birth. We laughed, cried and was always partners in crime. She taught me to drive in the country. Her pretty blue mustang. I was there for her boys. As we grew up to be adults we stayed sisters. Went to many outings and plays ,showers ect..
