Gale Barrington, 64, of Newman, passed away unexpectedly near her own home. In spite of the efforts of her family, friends, and paramedics, she had already passed into eternity. Gale was born in Turlock to William and Joyce Wyatt and attended Turlock schools. She was a homemaker for most of her adult life. She had three children, she was a good mom, a hard-working lady, and she was talented in the kitchen, in the garden, and always available to help her friends. She crocheted, grew vegetables, especially tomatoes, made great jam, and was a friend to those in need. In 1980 she married Gene Barrington and they have made their home near Newman.

Gale was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Jay B. Myers and Roger Wyatt, a sister Janus Spear, and an aunt Wilma Fairchild. She is survived by her husband Gene Barrington; children and step-children: William Carmo of Turlock, Lisa (Art) Thomas of Modesto, Lori Love of Modesto, Gena (Dave) Larson of Turlock, Paula (Dan) Barrington-Schmidt of Hughson, and Tracy Barrington of Clovis, Aunt Loreta Freitas, Uncles Joe Freitas and Glenn Fairchild; and cousins: LaVawn (Tom) Burnette, LaVern Walters, Vernon (Beverly) Freitas, and Kathy (Don) Facha, 19 grandchildren, and various nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary on Thursday, October 8th at 11 am. Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm at Allen Mortuary.
