Theresa Ventura June 29, 1955 - August 23, 2018

June 1955 – August 2018

Our wonderful mother, Theresa Ann Ventura, passed away August 23, 2018.

She was born June 29, 1955 in Turlock, California and was the youngest of three children born to Pete and Billie McKenzie of Stevinson, California.

Theresa graduated from Hilmar High School in 1973 and went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. She enjoyed caring for people.

Theresa is survived by her sister, Glenda, her three children, Vanessa (Bobby), Anthony, and Alisa, and two beloved granddaughters, Aileah and Sophia, and many nieces and nephews.

Our mom was the kindest person one could ever meet. She always treated everyone with respect and loved learning about every person she met. Our mom saw the beauty in everything, the good in everyone and the positive in every negative. She always told us to never take anything for granted, especially family. Her love for chile rellenos and 3 Musketeers candy bars was only surpassed by her love for us.

Mom wouldn’t want anyone to spend their money on her, so in lieu of flowers, we ask that you please honor our mother by paying it forward. Donate to a charity, or do something unexpected and kind for someone in need.

Rest easy, Mom. We will do our best to continue to make you proud.

The distance in our families living far away from each other kept us from being very close but I remember a sweet and funny woman who looked after so many others before doing anything for herself. I can hear your voice still saying “hi baby” anytime we’d talk. We all miss you Aunt Theresa. I love you Aunt T.

    Vanessa, Anthony & Alisa,
My deepest condolences to you all as you mourn the loss of your precious mother. No words can take away the pain we feel when losing a loved one, but knowing that the person you lost was loved by so many people and made such an impact in the lives she touched is something that is irreplaceable. Your mom was such a sweet lady, I remember her smile (I can remember the cute dimples when she would smile) and always had a twinkle in her eye. Cherish the memories you have of her, they will get you through tough times. Love you all and please let me know if there is anything we can do for you, even if it’s just lending an ear to talk to or a shoulder to cry on. I know the pain of losing a parent way too soon, lean on each other for strength. ❤️

I remember T as such a huge part of my younger life. Babysitting for fireman’s balls, for nights out, any day or time, spending several summers with the family to babysit. Family bbqs, nights at the park, soooo many memories. (Alisa, do u remember the popcorn kernel?? Maybe not, you were only a few years old 😉 ) T, you will be sorely missed, you’ve left a mark on every heart you’ve touched, including mine since I was a young child. I love you. Vanessa, Alisa, Anthony if there is anything I can do let me know even if it’s just remembering old times like the horses, or “dog”, or the popcorn kernel 😉 love to all of you, and her memory will love on. In all of you and all of us
