  1. Steve James says

Travis is the sweetest little guy a parent could ask for. He loved his little baby brother and parents so much. 9 years of transforming hearts was Travis’ mission from God. His work is now done on earth!

Travis’ story would not be fair without a true, happy ending. For us humans, death is bitter, confusing and devastating. But for God, nothing is permanent or impossible for those whom he loves, most certainly not death.

Although Travis’ body could not keep him here on earth, I believe his spirit now lives with Jesus. Suffering and illness is a thing of the past as Travis now exists with God for eternity. Jesus claimed to have conquered death and my hope is in his promise. I believe one day Travis’ body will be perfectly and fully restored by the resurrecting power of Jesus. And we who believe in God will soon be reunited with Travis, forever. Travis is awaiting us, what a celebration this will be! Let us hold fast to the promises of the loving, eternal and resurrecting God.

“When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.” Revelation 1:17-18

God bless you little Travis, we will see you soon!

I am so glad that I got to meet Travis and his family. I met him a few months back after talking with his mom finding out that he the boy that had ALD the same disease all three of my boys have. I wanted to do anything and everything I could to be there and support the family through this terrible disease in his terrible times. When I met him he reminded me so much of my youngest son Ethan he had the most beautiful smile and the cutest laugh. He will forever be in our hearts and this will always be our forever new family!!! We only met Travis the one time when we were visiting from Maui and we stopped in Modesto for a short visit. Travis was so welcoming and showed us around your beautiful home. He was especially excited to show us his room and we talked about everything. He showed me school pictures and his beloved toys. He was exuberant and smiley. What an angel. I feel like I knew him well from all the FB posts about your fun life! I will forever be grateful that you and Chad and Bradley, and all his friends and family, gave him such a full and loving time here on earth. He lives on forever. I love you!
