Bill was born and raised in Hollister, Ca. Bill was always about family first. He was a parent of three children and his grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved driving truck, going to the beach and visiting the casino and gardening. Fishing and camping were a big part of his life. He also loved his fur grandbabies.
Bill is preceded in death by his father, William Castro.
Bill is survived by his mother, Geri Castro, his children, Samantha Castro Cahilig and her husband Eric Cahilig of Turlock, Robert Castro and his wife Danelle Castro of Turlock and Jonathan Castro of Turlock. He is also survived by his grandchildren Mathew Castro and Kaylee Castro of Turlock, his siblings Terry Gonzales of Turlock and Lorraine Castro of Hollister.
Bill is reunited in heaven with his “fur baby” Chandler Castro.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 2pm on Thursday, September 5th at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway in Turlock.

I practically lived with you, Aunt Sarah, and Grandma Geri during the summers and you always treated me as one of your own. I remember BBQs with the cows in the close distance, I remember driving down the country roads in the back of the pick up with the kids to check on the cows, I remember you teaching me how to pet a horse for the very first time. Thank you for saving a part of my childhood. As an adult we often look back at the good and bad times, to help heal the past I try and focus on the good, and Ive always had nothing but good memories with you and your dear family, that is priceless to me. You will be missed dearly.

We talked of him often, remembering “the good old days”. We always hoped we would meet up again and rekindle that friendship, guess now it’ll be in heaven someday. Nancy is already there waiting with open arms. Our deep condolences to the family.
