William David Olvera

November 1940 – August 2013

William “Will” Olvera, 72, of Turlock, was called home to meet his Lord unexpectedly while at his home. William was born in Oakland CA, one of four children born to John and Pearl Olvera. He graduated from Edison High School in Stockton and then joined the Army. He served a total of two terms of duty in the Army. Before his military service he married Betty Lou Gasman and they began a family. Will was a happy, fun-loving, family man who enjoyed fishing and loved to serve the Lord through the ministries of Harvest Christian Church. He was involved with the City Reach Ministries and Winners Circle (50+).

Will was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings: Robert and Rita Olvera. He is survived by his wife Gloria Olvera, four children: William Olvera Jr. of Yuma AZ, Christopher Olvera of TX, Debra Jean (Kevin) Shankel of Stockton, Teresa Ann Olvera of Stockton, brother Jim Olvera, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
