Yvonne Neal November 20, 1931 - January 5, 2018

Yvonne was born in Stigler, Oklahoma to John and Myrtle Basden and passed away at the age of 86 in Hughson.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family.  She dearly loved spending time with children and many kids called her “Granny” whether they were family or not.  She was very involved in Delhi Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon, worked with the youth and helped with events such as Vacation Bible School.  Yvonne’s hobbies included bowling and playing bingo.  For many years she and her husband Gene ran their store, Neal’s Market in Delhi.  She also worked the snack shack at Shattuck Park in Delhi.

Yvonne is survived by her children Janet (Lee) Browning, Karin (Gary Womack) Waldon and Larry (Lora) Neal; grandchildren Shannon Casey (who was raised as a daughter), Chad, Leigha, Larry, Nathan, Trinity, Garrett, Kristopher, Jamie and Joshua; twenty-two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gene Neal; and grandson Justin.

Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Delhi Presbyterian Church.

Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 3:00-7:00p.m.  Funeral will be at Delhi Presbyterian Church on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10:30am.  Private interment will be held at Turlock Memorial Park.

    Yvonne, Just a note to say she will me missed at Dehi Bingo; Yvonne always looked like an Elionore to me, and that is what I called her,even when I called her on the phone. She was a very sweet lady and everyone liked her. She will bemissed by alot of people.
