Blanch Sue Gilley, 81, of Newman, California passed away peacefully and went to be with the lord on July 26th, 2026. Sue was born to Herman and Leeta Tully in Uvalde, Texas on March 27, 1945. Sue married Bill Gilley on December 25th, 1961, and married for 56 years.

Sue and Bill moved to Newman, California in 1964. Sue worked at Husman’s Turkey Hatchery, Lloyds Grocery, and was a loving mother and wife to her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and lived to work in her garden. Sue was well known to friends and family as a wonderful cook and seamstress.

She is survived by her sister Sharon, and her brother Willie; her two sons Larry of Hilmar, California and Kenneth and wife Missy of Harrison, Arkansas; three grandsons Jason, Grayson and Tanner; and niece Kimberly Gilley of Harrison, Arkansas; and two great grandchildren Iris and Raelin also of Harrison, Arkansas.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband William L. Gilley

Blanch will forever be missed.

A memorial service will be held at Allen Mortuary 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, California on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 1:00pm

    Aunt Sue, I will miss you so much. I will miss our talks and think of you when I journal. To my cousins, I pray that you find peace in knowing that Aunt Sue is telling my dad what’s what in heaven, now. For a little thing, she sure was BOSSY!!! LOL! (she’d laugh at that!)     Larry and Kenny and the family, our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this difficult time. Sur has been a large part of my life since I was very young. She was always a loving and caring person in our family and that can never be replaced. We will miss her very much and know that you will too!
