Dean was born and raised in Turlock and passed away at the age of 71. He attended Chatom School and graduated from Turlock High School in 1971. After high school he began hauling hay and driving a truck which he did for many years. In 1999 he began working as a swath operator and continued truck driving.
Dean loved his daughter and grandchildren; he raised his grandson Nick and more recently treasured the time he got to spend with his great granddaughter Amanda. Family was so important to him.
He is survived by his mother Peggy Tucker; son Chad Reeves; sisters Connie Massey, Ida (Ron) Weaver and Tracy Mendoza; grandchildren Nicholas (Natalie) Cardenas and Evan Deus; great granddaughter Amanda Cardenas; uncle Tony Mendoza; lifelong friend Mike Dutra; numerous nieces/nephews and cousins. Dean was preceded in death by his father Clyde Mendoza; daughter Amanda Kay Mendoza; and grandson Steven Deus.
Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 5:00-7:00p.m. Funeral service will also be at Allen Mortuary on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 10:00a.m with interment to follow.
