Dolores “Lori” Hernandez-Guzman
August 30, 1966 ~ January 02, 2025
Dolores Hernandez-Guzman of Turlock, California has passed away at the age of 58 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Patterson, CA to Joe and Kathy Hernandez. She married and spent 40 years with Gilbert Guzman. Together they raised their three sons: Gilbert, Anthony and Angel. She was a wonderful grandmother to two grandsons, Matteo and Julian. Also, a loving sister to her siblings Joey, Veronica, Sarah, Robert, and Desiree, among several other nieces and nephews. She worked at Goodwill for 10 years, serving her community with her beautiful smile. She laughed every day and would always brag about the bargains she would find when she came home. She had a love for the little things in life, saw beauty in the details, and somehow made everyone she met feel seen.
Dolores was a person who truly believed in doing the right thing. She had a strong faith built upon reading the Bible every morning. She was a caring, funny, thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She imparted wisdom to all family and friends who reached out. She was well respected and adored by so many for her loving and honest nature. She had an immense love for music, and you could always hear her car from a couple blocks down. Her creative spark shined by sowing her own clothes, making her own beaded jewelry, and she hand-drew finely detailed flowers and art pieces. Lori’s light will continue to shine bright just like her charming, kind, and infectious personality. In her last days, she was surrounded by loved ones who will honor her life by continuing to live our lives to the fullest with passion and love for all, just how she did.
A Memorial Service will be held at Allen Mortuary on Friday, January 17th at 1 pm to honor her life and legacy.
