Gregory Alexander Smith, a resident of Waterford, passed away in his home on May 19, 2020 at the age of 62. Raised in Hughson, CA, Greg attended Hughson High School where he enjoyed wrestling. Greg enlisted with the U.S. Navy in 1976, faithfully serving his country for 4 years. After his service, he took a position with the Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown, CA as a Stationary Engineer where dedicated 32 years to state service, retiring in 2011.
A long-standing member of the communities of Waterford and Hughson, he was loved by many. An avid fisherman and hunter, Greg loved spending time outdoors with friends and family. He was known for his big heart, wicked humor and ornery spirit, which he inherited from his mother.
Greg was preceded in death by his father Bill Smith, sister Dianne, and his grandparents Gloria and Alexander Zamora.
Greg is survived by his mother Patty Smith, his nephew Harley Smith, and numerous aunts and cousins.

We know your not suffering from health issues any longer Greg and your now with the Lord, but we are sadden to see you leave us you were a GREAT guy, we’re honored to of known you and Johnny and I will greatly miss you !
