Janet Susan Fletcher
August 10, 1957 – September 3, 2026

Janet was born in Atwater to Gerald and Mary West and passed away at the age of 69. She will be remembered by her friends and family for her spunky personality; she was a spitfire and always the loudest in the room. For Janet, there was no such thing as a stranger, and she could strike up a conversation with anyone. She loved her family dearly and especially treasured the experience of getting to watch her grandson Alex grow and mature. She was proud of his successes and was there for all of it. Her family knew that she was always there for them and she rarely let a day go by without checking in.

She loved rescuing animals and over the years she would have dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, hamsters and anything else that needed a home. Janet had a green thumb and was always proud of her plants. Until she became ill in 2018, she would work hard in her yard daily. Her hobbies included collecting items of interest. She enjoyed collecting clay pots, lunch pails and even mannequins!

Janet will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Michael Fletcher; daughter Shawna Casey; grandson Alexander (Destiny) Quiroz; stepchildren Martin Fletcher, Amy (Dennis) Cordova and Brian (Anissa) Fletcher; siblings Judy (John) Canyon and George Jessen.

A celebration of Janet’s life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Fellowship Bible Chapel in Turlock, 501 E. Canal Drive at 1:00p.m. Lunch will follow.
