Jeannie Lorraine Jessup, 60, of Valley Springs, California, passed away surrounded by the love of her family.

Jeannie was born and raised in Livermore, California, where she grew up with a love of soccer that stayed with her throughout her life. She continued playing soccer into adulthood, carrying with her the joy, friendships, and memories that came from the game she loved. Her love of soccer eventually became a way for her to share that passion with her children, as she proudly coached her kids and their teams. She loved being on the sidelines, supporting her children and encouraging young players to work hard, have fun, and enjoy the game.

Above all else, Jeannie loved her family dearly. She had a heart that made room for everyone. Her home was always a welcoming place, and anyone who walked through her door was treated as a friend. She embraced all of her children’s friends and the many “extra children” who found their way into her life, making them feel loved, accepted, and part of the family. Her kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Jeannie is survived by her beloved husband, James “Skider” Moore; her children, Jordan, Josie, and Josh Moore; her cherished grandson, Colton; and her father, Jimmie Jessup. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her warmth and love.

Jeannie’s greatest gift was the love she gave so freely. Whether she was cheering from the sidelines, opening her home to a friend, or simply spending time with the people she loved, she had a way of making everyone feel like they belonged. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and in the many people she welcomed into her life.

A Celebration of Life for Jeannie will be held on September 13 from 1:00–4:00 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Acampo, California.

Family and friends are warmly invited to come together, share memories, celebrate Jeannie’s life, and honor the love she gave to so many.
