Joaquina Moore was born on May 4, 1933 in Santander Spain to Juan and Milagros (Haya) Garrido.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She enjoyed visiting with her family at every opportunity. She also loved to cook for her family.  She taught herself how to read her bible and she would volunteer at her church.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, John (Abbey) Moore of Keyes, CA, Steve (Melinda) Moore of Hilmar, CA, Mike (Mina Sheriff) Moore of Turlock, CA, Tina (David) Johnson of Turlock, CA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday, August 20 at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway in Turlock. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday August 21 at North Hilmar Cemetery.

    Great Grandma Joaquina, You will always share a special place in my heart. I love you beyond words and I wish I could have told you more often! I am so thankful for the years we shared.. I wish we could have had more though, I will always miss you.. Thank you for being such an amazing women, an a even better great grandmother.. I wish you could have met your great great granddaughter I know you would have loved her and been so happy but I know you have already met in spirit.. Great Grandma I love you, I know you know but I wish I could have said it more.. I will miss your smile and your sweet hugs, & especially that macaroni salad of yours… I love you great grandma, keep watching over us and fly high.
