Leonard Jack Dayton was born to Harry and Roberta Dayton on January 12, 1944. There are three surviving siblings: Jan Robert of Los Vegas, NV, Lee Dayton of Turlock, CA and Shelby Dayton of South Carolina.
Leonard attended school in Standard, CA and Turlock, CA. After high school he went to work at Artecraft Industries, where he became gifted at working with Formica and cabinetry. He worked as a finish carpenter until retirement. Leonard had a love for cars. He acquired a 1950s Olds and completely rebuilt it into a showing hot rod, which he dearly loved.
Leonard truly enjoyed visiting old friends and making new ones.
Leonard and Eunice had been married for 61 years and had two boys, Shawn of Frisco, TX and Andy of Denair, CA. They also had 5 grandchildren: Dorian of Dallas, TX, Dominic of Frisco, TX, Isis of Denton, TX, Hunter of McMinnville, OR, and MacKayla of Denair, CA.
No services, but a celebration of life will be held at 5101 Goulart Rd, Turlock at 1:00pm on September 26th.
