Marion (Bramwell) King passed away in Harlingen, Texas at the age of 100. She was born in September of 1921 to Francis and Florence (Howe) Bramwell in Pleyto, California in Monterey County. She lived in Scotia, CA where she graduated from Fortuna High School in 1939. Marion went to Merritt Business School in Oakland, CA to receive her Accounting Degree and worked for Fortuna High School as a Secretary/Accountant for 12 years. She married Franklin King in 1953 and they lived in San Leandro, Bethel Island and Hayward before settling in Turlock 37 years ago. Shortly after Franklin passed away, she moved to Harlingen, Texas.
Marion belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Being a cancer survivor, she volunteered for the American Cancer Society. She enjoyed bowling, camping and loved to go on cruises with Franklin.
Marion is survived by her daughter Sharon Lee Moisa of Vacaville, CA, son Randall Franklin King of Harlingen, TX, and daughter Linda Frances Grissom of McKinleyville, CA; nine grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. She is preceded by in death by her husband Franklin, brother George Bramwell and sister Barbara Stinson.
Graveside services will be held 10am on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Lakewood Memorial Park.
